A-TRAK DEBUTS “DJS GOTTA DANCE MORE”
WITH TODD TERRY

DJ hero, label head and producer A-Trak today unveils “DJs Gotta Dance More,” a new track featuring vocals from New York house legend Todd Terry. Listen here.

“This song is an ode to record-digging and bedroom beatmaking,” says A-Trak. “I met Todd through my Duck Sauce partner Armand Van Helden. I’ve always seen both of them as my spiritual godfathers. We share a tradition of bringing the hip hop ethos to house music. Getting to work with my heroes is a real privilege to me. In a way this is a song by DJs, for DJs.”

A-Trak recently announced the second annual Goldie Awards, set for November 8 at Brooklyn Steel. The event is a new type of competition for DJs and producers that recognizes the endless creative nature of music, presenting a Beat Battle and DJ Battle open to producers and turntablists from around the world. Hosts Desus Nice and Nadeska Alexis will be joined by an all-star cast of judges including Mark Ronson, Just Blaze, Craze, Murda Beatz, El-P, Anna Lunoe, Boys Noize and Venus X.

A-Trak has long made it a personal mission to give a voice to up-and-comers across genre and style through his iconic label Fool’s Gold and its annual Day Off events, with this year’s NYC date set for August 11 at Knockdown Center with a lineup including Sheck Wes, Yung Bans, Bbymutha, Comethazine, Show Me The Body and more.

A-Trak, a.k.a. Alain Macklovitch, is the quintessential cultural connector. His 20-year musical path has seen him take turns as an internationally renowned turntablist, Grammy-nominated producer, innovative remixer and much more.
