HONORS’ MUSIC VIDEO FOR THEIR ACCLAIMED SONG “OVER” PREMIERES AT ONES TO WATCH

CONFIRMS SELECT HEADLINING DATES AT BROOKLYN’S BABY’S ALL RIGHT AND LOS ANGELES’ THE ECHO

Emerging Toronto-based band Honors’ video for their acclaimed song “Over” premieres at Ones To Watch who proclaim, “With an already-established alternative R&B sound and engaging visual aesthetic, the Toronto-based four-piece is clearly off to a promising start.” The video was directed by Kid. Studio who has produced content for The Weeknd, Big Sean, 6lack, Majid Jordan, Roy Wood$ and SAFE. Watch/share the video here: http://vevo.ly/MlHUXm

Of the video, the band says, “We were excited about the idea of shooting in Tokyo. Cinematically it's such a beautiful city, and there's something innately sad and lonely about the isolation that comes with being in a foreign place that is physically so chaotic and busy. When Kid. studios told us they had met a couple while on location, we were inspired by their story, and immediately changed our focus. Laura had moved to Japan from Brazil to model, and had experienced this isolation until she met and fell in love with Gabriel. However, by virtue of their love, they remain outsiders in Japan based on what is culturally accepted. We felt strongly about having the ability to showcase love of all types, even when it ends in heartbreak. Love, is love, is love, and the loss of it is always tragic.”

“Over” continues to receive critical praise—HillyDilly calls it, “colossal-sounding,” while This Song Is Sick proclaims, “The hazy vocals fit in effortlessly with the slow-rolling, stormy production with rumbling bass tones and atmospheric sound design.” Good Music All Day furthers, “The haunting strings and expansive electronic production set a cinematic tone that makes us think of other Toronto breakouts The Weeknd, PartyNextDoor and Roy Wood$.”

The track has garnered over 7 million streams on Spotify to date and reached #1 on the Global Viral Chart.

Honors has confirmed select headlining dates at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right and Los AngelesThe Echoas well as festival appearances at Bonanza and Bumbershoot. See below for complete tour details.
