JOHNNYSWIM’S VIDEO FOR “FIRST TRY” PREMIERES ON ROLLING STONE COUNTRY

EUROPEAN AND NORTH AMERICAN FALL TOUR CONFIRMED

GEORGICA POND
OUT NOW TO CRITICAL ACCLAIM

The video for “First Try” from acclaimed husband and wife band JOHNNYSWIM is premiering today via Rolling Stone Country. Of the video, Rolling Stone Country says, “The latest video from the pair, beautifully captures the shared space of musical genres as well as the more intimate, romantic space between two souls who have turned a working relationship into a personal one.” Watch/share the video here: http://rol.st/2hZiCT8

Additionally, JOHNNYSWIM have confirmed new European and North American tour dates through November. After having wrapped their first European headline run earlier this year, the band will return to the continent with shows in Amsterdam, Berlin, Stockholm and London, among others. The North American dates include San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago and Boston. See below for full details.

The band’s latest album Georgica Pond continues to receive widespread critical acclaim:

“Their sparkly pop songs exude L.A. sleekness, but they’d easily translate to country radio with the application of a little twang…and the lyrics frequently touch on the elation, complication and lifelong work inherent in love, devotion and family.” —NPR Music

“Johnnyswim sets itself apart from predecessors by blurring the lines between life and art.” —Huffington Post

“Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez pull and push themselves with their fans into the depths of that realm, creating a critical space for honesty, loss, and love that can be experienced, heard, and understood. The duo’s sophomore release, Georgica Pond, is the pinnacle of all those discoveries: that beauty is imperfect, that pain deserves to be felt, and that there is always room for hope in the smallest of places.” —NYLON

“Whether they’re conveying the wonderful highs or the bittersweet lows of relationships, it’s enough to elicit a flood of relatability and understanding.” —All Music

“…raw, emotional love songs.” —Dujour

Additionally, the band performed “First Try” on “CONAN” earlier this year. Watch here: http://bit.ly/2pKu715.

Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano Ramirez make up JOHNNYSWIM. The pair met in Nashville in 2005, instituting a songwriting partnership not long afterward. They clicked together musically and personally, beginning a romantic relationship along with their creative connection. The couple married in 2009 and relocated to Los Angeles. In addition to their 2014 debut full-length Diamonds, which sold over 50,000 copies and has almost 30 million streams, they’ve released three EPs as well as a Christmas EP and a live album. They’ve performed on television shows including VH1’s “You Oughta Know Concert,” “The Tonight Show starring Jay Leno,” “Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Today,” “Live with Kelly & Michael” and their song “Home” remains the theme for HGTV’s “Fixer Upper.”
