Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear’s NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert recently premiered and can now be viewed/shared here. Of the band’s performance, NPR Music’s Bob Boilen praises, “Their heartfelt Tiny Desk set features some playful banter, while the songs themselves are memorable and singable even days after you hear them. In all, it's a perfect introduction to a one-of-a-kind duo.”

The performance celebrates the duo’s highly anticipated debut album, Skeleton Crew, which is now available on Glassnote Records. Released to widespread notice, the duo was recently featured on “CBS News Sunday Morning” as well as NPR’s “All Things Considered.” Additionally, in March, the band made their network television debut on the “Late Show with David Letterman” performing the records’ first single, “Silent Movies.” They also recently performed the song on “Later…with Jools Holland.”

Moreover, Rolling Stone named the duo one of their “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know: Spring 2015” asserting, “Captivating no-frills folk tunes for pop fans who’ve got the blues,” while WXPN is currently featuring the band as their “Artist To Watch” for the month of May declaring, “Honest, timeless, and heartfelt, the duo are incredibly engaging live and they’re a refreshing new sound on the acoustic music scene.”

The band is currently in the midst of a nationwide tour in support of the album, including several shows with The Tallest Man on Earth as well as performances at Bonnaroo and the Newport Folk Festival. See below for complete tour details.

Produced by Jim Abbiss (Adele, Artic Monkeys), the 12-song album was recorded in Nashville during the winter of 2014-15. Of the record, Madisen comments, “We took the scenic route getting here, and I can already tell we ain’t seen nothing yet. Thank you for letting us share this with you all.”
