THE SHELTERS EMBARK ON SIRIUSXM’S “ALTNATION ADVANCED PLACEMENT TOUR” IN NOVEMBER

BAND TO PLAY AUSTIN CITY LIMITS, VOODOO AND KAABOO INCLUDING ADDITIONAL DATES WITH BAND OF HORSES

LATE NIGHT DEBUT ON “THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT”

SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM OUT NOW, CO-PRODUCED BY TOM PETTY

The Shelters confirm new tour dates in October supporting Band Of Horses and will also appear at upcoming festivals including Life Is Beautiful, Austin City Limits, Petty Fest, Voodoo, Taste Of South Lake Festival and Kaaboo. Additionally, the band will embark on the SiriusXMAltNation Advanced Placement Tour” this November with The Hunna and Night Riots. See below for complete tour dates.

Most Recently, the band made their late night debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” with a performance of their hit single “Rebel Heart.” Watch here: http://bit.ly/29zdaxV. Their highly anticipated self-titled debut album is out now via Warner Bros. Records and continues to receive critical acclaim:

“...these L.A. rockers are the spitting image of the Byrds-Beatles garage rock…” —Rolling Stone

“Jangly, buoyant, foot-tapping…blending classic influences with modern swagger.” —Billboard

“Byrds-like guitars…rollicking fun.” —Under The Radar

“These young cats are rock missionaries.” —JamBase

“The Shelters exist somewhere indeterminately between Tom Petty's ‘American Girl’ and The Strokes ‘Last Night,’ crafting a hing-energy blend of garage rock and old-fashioned Americana.” —PopMatters

“The music is a blast of missionary Brit Invasion-ish, bluesy simplicity with jagged indie-rock corners, a collection of fast little rock grinders that don’t stray very far from the harmonicfootprint established long ago by the Beatles.” —San Diego Reader

The Shelters’ self-titled album is the follow-up to the band’s four-song EP, which was released last October. Both the EP and the album were co-produced by one of the band’s musical heroes, Tom Petty, with all songs written by band members Chase Simpson (vocals, guitar) and Josh Jove (vocals, guitar).

In addition, the band performed “Rebel Heart,” Fortune Teller” and “Nothin' In The World Can Stop Me Worryin' 'Bout That Girl” at the Paste studio, who calls their performance “...a feel-good Southern California vibe that has been missing from rock ‘n’ roll since the ‘70s.”

The Shelters are Simpson, Jove, Sebastian Harris (drums) and Jacob Pillot (bass).
