MATT BRAUNGER, ARDEN MYRIN AND MIKE LAWRENCE TO PERFORM COMEDY CENTRAL’S @MIDNIGHT LIVE WITH CHRIS HARDWICKP
(Nashville, TN)—May 8, 2014—The Wild West Comedy Festival is excited to have special guests Matt Braunger, Arden Myrin and Mike Lawrence join Chris Hardwick for a live show of Comedy Central’s @midnight, produced by Funny Or Die. The show challenges comedians to prove who's funniest by commenting on the craziest news and posts social media has to offer. Using social media as the catalyst and a fake game show as the setting, Hardwick leads spectators down the ultimate interactive internet wormhole. Hardwick will host two shows at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Polk Theater May 16 and 17 at 10:00 p.m. Tickets are available here: http://bit.ly/1obfyf4
Guest Matt Braunger was raised in Portland, Oregon. An actor since childhood, Matt studied theater in New York and improvisation in Chicago under such luminaries as Susan Messing and Del Close. Also joining Hardwick is Arden Myrin, a native of Little Compton, Rhode Island. The comedian and actress has made over 100 appearances on "Chelsea Lately" and was a cast member on "MadTV" for four years. Recent credits include, "Key and Peele", "Inside Amy Schumer", and "Orange is the New Black.” Arden recently sold a pilot to Adult Swim with South Park writer Pam Brady that she will co-write, executive produce and star in.
Rounding out the group is Mike Lawrence, a New York City based comedian who has been featured as a stand-up on TBS' Conan, and Comedy Central’s John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show and The Half Hour. He wrote and performed a segment for FX's Totally Biased and has appeared on Comedy Central’s @midnight. Mike has also been featured on many notable podcasts, including the Adam Carolla Show, WTF with Marc Maron, You Made it Weird with Pete Holmes and the Artie Lange Show. When he's not working in NYC's best clubs or headlining on the road he can be seen featuring for the likes of John Oliver, Marc Maron and Tom Papa (who, shortly thereafter, hired Lawrence as a writer for his pilot). Mike was a Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival “New Face” in 2010 and performed with JFL in both Chicago and Montreal in 2012, where he recorded a set for HBO Canada's Funny as Hell.
