October 9, 2026—Global superstar Carín León unveils a new album: MudaH, the deluxe edition of MUDA, his Album Of The Year nominee at the 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards. The project is out now on all digital platforms via Socios Music—listen here.

MUDA—translating to both “molt” and “mute”—found Carín shedding his skin and exploring new sounds. With the addition of the silent letter “H,” he pays tribute to his hometown of Hermosillo, Sonora. With five new tracks, the deluxe edition reaffirms Carín as one of Latin music’s most versatile artists while pushing the boundaries of contemporary Música Mexicana, moving from pop ballads to corridos and rock to salsa.

“We keep playing with music the way we like to, without slapping too many labels on it or worrying about where every sound is supposed to come from,” says Carín. “This album has a lot of my roots in it, but it speaks a much more universal language. There’s pop, rock, salsa, corridos… a whole bunch of stuff that has been with me my entire life, and now we get to bring it all together in a way that’s very much our own. At the end of the day, I’ve always been in love with music, not with one genre, and it’s pretty damn cool to see how far that’s taking us.”

Leading the new material is “Atte El Insuperable,” a collaboration with Colombian artist Ryan Castro. In this corrido powered by charchetas (alto horns), both artists share a story of heartbreak with swagger and pride.

“What a better way to do it than with mi compa Ryan Castro! A Colombian artist whose energy and approach to music I really dig,” describes Carín. “Bringing him to our turf and merging two worlds on ‘Atte El Insuperable’ was a blast, and I think people are going to feel that chemistry.”

“I’ve always liked experimenting with different sounds and exploring new ways to make music. It all came together so naturally with Carín, and we blended two styles that come from different worlds but have so much in common. It was dope to make this song and bring Colombia and Mexico together,” Ryan Castro adds.

MUDA captured a chapter of searching, risk-taking and sonic exploration for Carín, fueled by a curiosity that pushed him to broaden his palette toward a more universal sound: rooted in pop and blended with big band, ska, blues, funk and Mexican textures. Behind it all was a personal goal: to take his music and his project to new countries and new languages.

MudaH sets the stage for Carín’s return to Las Vegas for the 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, taking place November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

ABOUT RYAN CASTRO

2x Latin GRAMMY nominee, Ryan Castro is a global reggaeton and dancehall artist whose impact extends far beyond music—bridging culture, community, sports, and entrepreneurship. Dubbed “El Cantante Del Ghetto,” Castro is a Colombian artist whose journey from street busking in Medellín's Pedregal neighborhood to global stardom is nothing short of remarkable.

Before his breakthrough with the single “Morena” in 2017, Ryan lived in Curaçao, where he immersed himself in reggae and dancehall—sounds that continue to define his Caribbean-infused musical identity. He rose to international prominence with hits like “Mujeriego” and “Jordan,” both of which landed on the Billboard Global 200 and Spotify’s Global Top 50. His Diamond-certified smash “QUEMA” alongside Peso Pluma further cemented his place among the world’s top Latin artists.

In 2024, Ryan released his RIAA 2x Platinum-certified debut album El Cantante Del Ghetto and delivered the global, viral anthem “El Ritmo Que Nos Une” for Colombia’s National Soccer Team—an unprecedented cultural moment that united music and sports. That same year, Rolling Stone U.S. named him a Future 25 honoree, recognizing him as one of the artists shaping the future of global music and culture.

Ryan followed with a landmark 2025, driven by sold-out U.S. arena tours, becoming the first Colombian artist to acquire equity in a professional sports team—Paisas Basketball Club, based in his hometown of Medellín—and launching one of Colombia’s most successful entertainment-brand collaborations to date: his Jumbo “Romantik Style” chocolate bar, which surpassed 1.2 million units sold. That same year, he released two critically acclaimed albums—Sendé and Hopi Sendé—which spotlight his Caribbean essence, shaped by the dancehall and reggae influences he absorbed while living in Curaçao.

In 2026, Ryan’s momentum reached new heights as his hit single “La Villa,” from his third album Hopi Sendé, became a global phenomenon—hitting #4 Global Trending on YouTube, charting #31 on Spotify’s Global chart, and reaching #1 across more than 11 countries in Latin America. He followed with the release of OMERTA, his highly anticipated collaborative album with J Balvin, which debuted on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut charts globally and in the U.S. Ryan also earned his first two Latin GRAMMY nominations, including Best Urban Performance for “La Villa” and Best Urban Music Album for OMERTA, marking another major milestone in his career. Today, Ryan Castro stands as one of the biggest and best-selling Latin artists in the world, continuously breaking barriers and redefining what it means to be a global artist—on stage, in culture, and beyond.
