LUKE COMBS NOMINATED FOR THREE AWARDS AT 58TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS
NEW ALBUM FATHERS & SONS RELEASED TO
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
September 9, 2024—11x CMA Award-winner Luke Combs is nominated for three awards at this year’s 58th Annual CMA Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (Fathers & Sons). The awards ceremony will be broadcast live from Nashville on ABC Wednesday, November 20 at 8:00PM ET/7:00PM CT.
The first record of its kind, Fathers & Sons was released this past June on Columbia Nashville (stream/purchase here). A collection of 12 poignant tracks, the album was recorded entirely live and features Combs most personal songwriting to date, as he reflects on his own experiences being a dad to his two sons and the unique bond between parents and their children. In celebration of the project, Combs was recently featured on “CBS Sunday Morning” speaking with correspondent Kelefa Sanneh, while Fathers & Sons continues to receive widespread critical attention:

“Luke Combs's fatherhood era may just be his best era yet”—Country Living
“brilliant full-circle moment that only happens when you've reached the most rarefied of air of both country and popular music”—The Tennessean
“incredibly nuanced and intricate…so well done and beautifully presented from the writing, production, and of course, his pure country vocals”—Whiskey Riff
“this record may be one of the most important releases of Combs’ storied country music career”
—Country Now

“masterfully crafted prose”—Country Central
“a masterful collection that reaffirms Luke Combs’ place as a storyteller capable of capturing the universal and deeply personal aspects of life and family”—Entertainment Focus

—Music Row
AA Grand Ole Opry member and 11x CMA, 4x ACM, 6x Billboard Music Award-winner, Combs is in the midst of yet another historic year, as he recently became the first country artist to have three singles certified RIAA Diamond as his songs “Hurricane” and “When It Rains It Pours” joined “Beautiful Crazy” in achieving this milestone. He also recently joined forces with Post Malone for two songs on Malone’s new album, F-1 Trillion—“Guy For That” and “Missin’ You Like This"—released his radio single, “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma,” which is featured on the soundtrack for the new Twisters movie, is the subject of a new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and has partnered with Opry Entertainment Group to open Category 10, a massive multi-level entertainment complex in downtown Nashville later this fall.
Known for his electric live shows, Combs recently completed his record-breaking “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” stadium tour and will perform select dates this fall including two nights at Washington’s Gorge Amphitheatre on October 4 and 5. See below for complete tour itinerary.
Earlier this year, Combs performed an unforgettable duet of “Fast Car” with Tracy Chapman during the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards, which Rolling Stone called “one of the all-time best collaborative performances in Grammy history.” The performance added to a massive year for “Fast Car,” as Combs’ version of the song won Single of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards and 2023 CMA Awards (with Chapman winning Song of the Year). It also spent five-consecutive weeks atop Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and reached #1 on the Hot AC chart, the first song by a male solo artist to ever top both. The 2x Platinum single, which has garnered over 1.1 billion global streams to date, also spent eighteen weeks in the top 5 of Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 chart, eight of which were spent at #2.
