MUSCADINE BLOODLINE’S NEW ALBUM
THE COASTAL PLAIN OUT AUGUST 16;
10-90” DEBUTS TODAY

SUMMER TOUR DATES CONFIRMED

June 7, 2024—Acclaimed independent duo Muscadine BloodlineCharlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton—will release their anticipated new album, The Coastal Plain, August 16 on Stancaster Music via Thirty Tigers (pre-order/pre-save here). Ahead of the release, the new song, “10-90,” is debuting today. Listen/share HERE.

Reflecting on the track, the duo shares, “Relationships always have ups and downs and this song is a testament to picking up the extra care that your partner might need at the time. Sometimes it can be 50/50 but most of the time the percentage is swayed one way or the other depending on what you or your partner is going through. This song is special because of that!”

Produced by the duo and their close collaborator Ryan Youmans (Jelly Roll, etc), The Coastal Plain is the duo’s most authentic music to date, as they mine their own histories to tell stories of the people and places that raised them. Across these 14 tracks, including previously released songs, “Mary Riley,” “Earle Byrd From Mexia,” “Weyerhaeuser Land” and “Low Hangin’ Fruit,” the pair create a singular sound as they imbue their country foundation with the roots and gospel music they grew up on in their hometown of Mobile, AL.

Of the album, Muscadine Bloodline shares, “In a way this record feels like an ode to ourselves and the fact that we’ve finally found our sound, which is hopefully something that will end up inspiring other artists down the road. Our motto for the last few years has been, ‘Make what we love, and everything else will take care of itself.’ We just want to stay adventurous and keep evolving and keep elevating our game, and because of that the music is the strongest it’s ever been.”

In celebration of the new music, Muscadine Bloodline will continue to tour through this summer including upcoming shows at Los Angeles’ Regent Theater, Charleston’s The Windjammer (two nights), Norfolk’s The NorVa and Richmond’s The National, with additional headline dates to be announced soon. They will also perform at several festivals this year including Windy City Smokeout, Under the Big Sky Festival, Greenville County Music Festival and more.

In addition to Muncaster (vocals) and Stanton (vocals, guitar), The Coastal Plain also features the duo’s longtime live band—Justin Rowton (bass), Weston Stewart (guitar) and Zoltan Tobak (drummer)—as well as special guest Kyle Nix on album track, “Tickets to Turnpike.”

Originally from Mobile and now based in Nashville, Muncaster and Stanton have released three full-length albums including their latest, 2023’s Teenage Dixie. Of the record, American Songwriter praised, “infectiously singable tunes…a raw, unapologetic homage to where they came from,” while Holler called it “a rich, engulfing, emotionally-driven LP that captures the unmistakable truth of people and their stories.” Since forming in 2015, the duo has also achieved great success with their 2016 platinum-certified single, “Porch Swing Angel,” which has garnered over 100 million streams on Spotify to date, made their Grand Ole Opry debut, performed sold-out headline shows across the country and joined artists such Eric Church, Turnpike Troubadours and Cody Johnson on the road.
