NYC’S TASTEMAKER PUBLIC RADIO WFUV
DEBUTS NEW DAILY “NY SLICE” FEATURE

DISCOVERING RISING LOCAL TALENT

WFUV, Fordham University’s award-winning, member-supported tastemaker public media service in New York City, debuts a new daily feature “NY Slice” at noon ET today. Hosted by DJ Alisa Ali, the show spotlights a different “slice” of sound from a tri-state area artist or band every day; listen at 90.7 FM or stream online HERE.

“NY Slice” will showcase new and emerging artists, with featured acts having the chance of making WFUV’s regular rotation. “We have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to music in the tri-state area,” notes Ali. “Local bands can sometimes get overshadowed by the huge acts that pass through the Big Apple. I am thrilled to be able to level the playing field a bit and help these musicians get the props they deserve by putting them on the WFUV airwaves and spreading the word through our socials.”

Interested artists are encouraged to contact the show with background information and a link to a downloadable, original song; email here.
