LILAS (YOASOBI’s ikura) UNVEILS ENGLISH VERSION OF SOLO SINGLE “IN BLOOM”
September 5, 2025—Lilas—also known as ikura from J-pop duo YOASOBI—shares the English version of her solo single, “In Bloom”—listen/share HERE. The original Japanese version served as the opening theme for Season 2 of the popular anime series, The Apothecary Diaries.

“I’m excited for everyone to hear my first ever English language song as a solo artist,” details Lilas. “We recorded it at the iconic Metropolis Studios in London. I truly hope this song connects with many people around the world.”
Widely recognized for her work as ikura in YOASOBI and blossoming solo career as Lilas, “In Bloom” also reflects her personal evolution. The song captures the feeling of diving into an unexpected environment and finding one’s world and perspective expanding with a dynamic pop tune.
The English version was recorded at the historic Metropolis Studios in London, and the lyrics were translated by Konnie Aoki, who brought out a new charm by incorporating the unique rhythmic feel of the English language, while valuing the original Japanese sound and meaning.
This same spirit of authenticity also led Lilas to her newest role—global ambassador for COACH. She is officially joining the COACH family, debuting as part of the brand’s purpose-led platform, “Courage to Be Real.” Her fearless creativity and honest self-expression align seamlessly with the Fall 2025 campaign’s message, “Revive Your Courage.” With a wide-ranging career spanning music, voice acting and more, this will be Lilas’ landmark foray into serving as an ambassador for a fashion brand.
