October 11, 2024—Superstar producer, songwriter and DJ Dillon Francis will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of his iconic debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule by releasing an album of remixes on October 18. To celebrate, Dillon shares the first three offerings from the remix album today in partnership with Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment—pre-order/pre-save the remix album and listen to Rusko’s remix of “Hurricane” featuring Lily Elise, Eleganto’s remix of “Love In The Middle of a Firefight” featuring Brendan Urie and the Dillon Francis VIP edit of “When We Were Young” featuring Sultan and Ned Shepard HERE.

“Pro tip: If you want to make yourself feel really old after your 37th birthday, put out a 10-year anniversary remix album of the first album you ever made :),” Dillon says. “But for real what an amazing trip down memory lane, and thank you to all my friends who remixed the songs with me.”

Dillon’s major label debut Money Sucks, Friends Rule was released in 2014 to widespread acclaim, introducing audiences all over the world to Dillon’s fresh and eclectic sound. The album found him collaborating with Martin Garrix, The Presets, Brendan Urie, Major Lazer and more and spawned the Platinum-certified “Get Low” with DJ Snake, Dillon’s most successful song to date, which is still heard in clubs today. The remix album features further reworks from Armin van Buuren, Major Lazer, Julian Jordan and Viperactive—see the tracklist below.

The remix album follows a string of collaborative singles from Dillon this year including “The Sound” with Julian Jordan, “Jet Setter” with Yeah Boy, “Take Me Away” with longstoryshort, “Nobody Likes The Records That I Play” with Netsky, “Bad Cop” with VINNE, “Don’t Waste My Time” with Sophie Powers, “Whole Lotta Drugs” and “Over The Edge” with Ship Wrek, “Waterfall” with Drove, “Close Your Eyes” with Matt Sassari and James Carter, “Pretty Low” with Galantis and Arden Jones and Pero Like, a collaborative EP with Good Times Ahead.

At the end of 2023, Dillon released This Mixtape is Fire TOO, the long-awaited sequel to 2015’s This Mixtape Is Fire, a Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart #1 that found Dillon giving the moombahton genre a much-needed rejuvenation. He followed the album up with These Remixes Are Fire TOO, featuring reworks of album tracks by Knock2, Devault, Zomboy, Tisoki and more.

Dillon Francis has been making waves in dance music and beyond for more than a decade, bursting on to the scene in the early 2010s with a series of underground hits. He’s released a number of widely acclaimed full-length projects, including Money Sucks, Friends Rule in 2014, 2015’s This Mixtape Is Fire, 2018’s WUT WUT—a Spanish-language LP featuring some of the biggest names in Latin music, the 2019 mixtape Magic Is Real, Happy Machine in 2021 and This Mixtape is Fire TOO in 2023. Dillon continues to tour the world over and, beyond music, has starred in the Funny Or Die series “Like and Subscribe” and Viceland’s “What Would Diplo Do?” with additional projects in development.
