GLAIVE & KURTAINS UNVEIL COLLABORATIVE ALBUM GOD SAVE THE THREE

WATCH VIDEO FOR “THE BAND” TODAY

May 8, 2026—glaive today unveils a new album with his longtime collaborator, best friend and underground producer prodigy kurtains. God Save The Three honors their shared dynamic which changed the DNA of pop music as we know it—listen/share the album here. A video for track “The Band,” directed by Lewis Baillie, is out now—watch/share here.

On the album, the duo share: “God Save the Three means a lot to us, we've known each other since we were 14 and we had always talked about making a collaborative body of work, this album came about somewhat spontaneously on a impromptu trip kurtains made to Asheville. Originally there were no plans to make any music but I suppose destiny got the best of us both ……. on the 4th of July, 2025 “Weston Super Mare” was created out of what felt like thin air. A fun yet melancholy tune that we genuinely felt was the greatest song ever made. The next day we did “Crisis,” an introspective delve into a growing homesickness that we had both experienced. kurtains then left Asheville and went home … and it was just like... we must make more….

About a month or three later we decided to make a recording trip somewhere within the north Welsh to English midlands region. We blindly booked an Airbnb, we had no idea that we were going to the Cotswolds, notorious for its bronze coloured stone buildings and reputation for a certain … higher tax bracket ….. This is where the majority of the album was made. It's obviously beautiful to make music with people but it feels almost miraculous to make music with someone you consider a brother.
God Save the Three.”

When they were still in school, glaive and kurtains led the charge of an internet-fueled sound which challenged the parameters of electronic pop music and became a cultural fascination. glaive’s latest album Y’ALL (NPR Music, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, Stereogum) — with kurtains at the helm of its production — captures the story of a teenager pulled up from his roots, finally returning to his hometown in North Carolina at twenty, a radically changed person in an unchanged place. This maturity is reflected in the scale and complexity of sound, while still setting the dancefloor alight.

glaive’s previous works cypress grove, all dogs go to heaven, and then i’ll be happy, have all cemented him as a generational artist, lauded by the likes of The New York Times, Vulture, GQ and The FADER. His second studio album of last year, May It Never Falter, was hailed as a genre-defying body of work that marked the beginning of an independent chapter in his artistry.

May It Never Falter was recorded in the remote landscapes of Iceland and Wales, continuing the Sigur Rós-inspired approach to isolated, immersive recording environments that began with his debut album i care so much i don’t care at all (2023). The album was listed as one of the best of 2024 by Vogue and was supported by a North American and European tour in spring of 2025.
