TOPEKA TO HOST SPECIAL PERFORMANCES BY
JOHN HIATT AUGUST 24 & 31
TICKETS ON SALE AUGUST 5
Topeka will host two special performances live from Nashville by singer-songwriter John Hiatt on August 24 and 31. Tickets go on sale August 5 and will initially be available to purchase solely as a bundle for admission to both shows. Remaining tickets to the individual shows will be released later; tickets/additional info HERE.
240 tickets are available, priced at $100 each, for the “Front Row,” an intimate experience in which audience members are able to interact with and be seen by Hiatt as he is performing. Learn more about the Front Row Experience HERE. There are also “balcony” tickets available at $40 each.
Each of the two unique shows features a different theme:
• Monday, August 24 (8 P.M. ET): Hiatt will perform two albums in their entirety, Bring the Family and Slow Turning.
• Monday, August 31 (8 P.M. ET): The second performance, “Songs & Stories,” will allow Front Row ticket buyers to request songs in advance for Hiatt to perform during the show. He will also delve into the meanings behind the songs and songwriting process, and a Q&A will be held following the performance. Front Row buyers will be able to submit questions in advance for the Q&A portion, to be asked by an interviewer following the show.

Since the release of his debut 1974 debut LP, Hangin’ Around the Observatory, award-winning singer-songwriter John Hiatt has gone on to release 22 studio albums, two compilation albums and one live album. Hiatt’s song “Sure as I’m Sittin Here” was covered by Three Dog Night, and soon became a Top 40 hit earning him a contract with Epic Records. His 1987 studio album Bring the Family saw substantial commercial success, with album track “Have a Little Faith in Me” being covered by the likes of Jewel, Mandy Moore, Joe Cocker, Bon Jovi and more. Following the success of Bring the Family, Hiatt saw nine straight studio albums on the Billboard 200. His latest effort, 2018’s The Eclipse Sessions, was his first album in four years, and was recorded over the course of four days during summer 2017-- a period of time which included a solar eclipse. Hiatt places The Eclipse Sessions alongside two of his greatest works, 1987’s Bring the Family and 2000’s Crossing Muddy Waters.
